Where to go in Ukraine in November
Each of us from time to time has an unplanned weekend or an unexpected vacation, and of course, I want to spend this “bonus” time with maximum benefit. But what if this weekend is too short for a vacation abroad or a full-fledged sightseeing tour of Ukraine? We know the answer – pay attention to Ukrainian festivals in November!
The last month of autumn this year will delight us with six interesting events of various formats that will be held in different cities of Ukraine, and we want to share their program with you.
It is not at all difficult to choose where to go in November within Ukraine – festivals and events for every taste are perfectly combined with mini-trips and excursions, making the weekends bright and eventful! November 10-12: Festival “Night in Lviv”
“Night in Lviv” is a real pearl of the cultural program in the most beautiful city of Ukraine. On the second weekend of November, you will be able to choose and visit the activities of interest to you from more than a hundred of various programs of various formats. Performances, excursions, street plays, musical performances, special expositions in museums and galleries, religious and social events – you really will have plenty to choose from.
November 10-13: All Music is Jazz Festival
Fans of good jazz should visit the Kiev art club Closer – for three days concerts of jazz bands from different countries will continue here. Fans will be able to hear Bernd Friedman, John Hollenbeck with the orchestra, Jose James, the house-duet Session Victim, Andrei Kirichenko and others.
November 11-12: Bolgrad Winfest
Odessa region will also not be left without an interesting program – on November 10 and 11, a young wine festival will be held in Bolgrad. The guests of the festival will be waiting for tastings of the best Odessa wines, many delicious dishes of Ukrainian, Gagauz, Moldavian and Bulgarian cuisine, folk dances, music, a fair and colorful performances.
November 11-12: St. Martin’s Day
This weekend in Mukachevo, a large-scale celebration of St. Martin’s Day, which is considered the patron of this picturesque Transcarpathian town, will unfold. In the early Saturday morning, everyone will be able to attend a festive service in the Cathedral of St. Martin, after which a large colorful fair will start in the central city square, where you can buy fragrant muffins, the best honey and wines of Transcarpathia in the region, taste traditional local dishes and enjoy fabulous the atmosphere of an old holiday.
November 12: International Blues Festival
The Kiev club Beletage on November 12, 2017 will become a venue for a wonderful music festival – an international blues festival will be held here. Visitors will enjoy the magical music of American, European and Ukrainian bluesmen, including Big Creek Slim and Robert Lighthouse.
November 18-19: “Transcarpathian Beaujolais”
Colorful wine festival in Uzhgorod with exciting stylization – not only tastings and fairs are waiting for you, but also a real medieval tournament, theatrical performances, competitions and even the opportunity to shoot from real cannons. Each guest will be able to enjoy generous tastings in the Owl’s Nest, old wine cellars on Rakotsi Street, receive souvenir glasses with the festival logo, attend wine workshops and select the best wine in the region.
